UMU was born from ‘Under My Umbrella’, a Zambian brand started in 2008 producing wooden outdoor furniture 'it's everything that goes under your umbrella'.

UMU Ltd now has a small team of 9 artisanal carpenters, tailors and upholsterers who produce beautiful high quality household furniture constructed from sustainably sourced Zambian woods, steel, cement and textiles and manufacture on a bespoke basis for decerning clients.
